Dragon Ball Z III - Ressen Jinzou Ningen launched on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by TOSE. You play as one of the major Z Fighters, such as Goku or Vegeta, moving across a world map to trigger key battles from the Android and Cell arcs. The main goal is to push through each encounter, with fights shifting to a side-view screen where you charge ki, trade blows, and fire off iconic special attacks. Outside of combat, a card-based system determines movement and certain upgrades, giving the game a light strategy layer. The pacing moves quickly but can become punishing if your levels aren’t balanced. It feels like a determined attempt to bottle the show’s intensity within the NES’s limits.
