Harobots: Robo Hero Battling!! is one of those GBA games you stumble into and then wonder why nobody talks about it. You start by picking your squad of blocky little robots—each with their own weird charm—and then jump straight into these tight, grid-based fights where every move feels like it matters. At first, I just spammed attacks, but after getting wrecked by a sneaky flank, I realized positioning is half the battle.
Upgrading your bots is where it gets addictive. You’re constantly swapping out weapons or tweaking stats between fights, and there’s something weirdly satisfying about turning a clunky starter bot into a precision wrecking machine. The battles are quick, but they’ve got that "okay, one more try" pull—especially when you lose to some cheap trick and immediately start plotting revenge.
It’s not flashy, but the chunky pixel art and simple mechanics hide a surprisingly deep tactics game. If you ever wished *Front Mission* had a little more personality or *Pokémon* had more robot-on-robot violence, this is your weird little fix. Definitely dig it out if you find a copy.
