You start off in England, sneaking past guards and solving little puzzles to track down clues. The locations actually feel distinct—China’s got lantern-lit alleys, Mexico has this weirdly tense market level—and the stealth bits are simple but satisfying when you pull them off without getting caught.

It’s not exactly Splinter Cell, but the disguises are fun (who knew Barbie could rock a janitor outfit?), and the villain’s motive turns out to be way pettier than you’d expect. The mini-games break things up, though some are definitely easier than others—that lockpicking one in Italy still trips me up. If you ever wanted to see Barbie shimmy through air vents while avoiding laser alarms, this is your game.

Also, the soundtrack slaps harder than it has any right to.
